"Muscle Building-A Reason for Hair Loss"

It has been seen in the research that men start losing their  hairs at the age of 35 but its not true for everyone who turns 35.Because for someone, it may happen as early as their 20s. And now a days youngsters are suffering from hair loss more than usual. Hair Loss is a genetic one and you will get it when your are genetically predisposed but inspite of that some other reasons are there like systemic diseases, deficiencies marker & stress too because in today modern world we can say that Stress is one of the reason for Hair Loss.. And that's why I always said "Stress is the keynote for every kind of Disease".

Exercise & working out in gym are the two most important things for health & body. Spending a lot of time in gym for working out to build-up our body is good thing but its not good for our hairs. Have you ever thought about it?

So, if you are a gym lover and do a lot of work out in gym to give a shape to your body, you must think about about your hairs before that.

We are always advised to exercise by the doctors because everyone knows its good for us but a good one can also turn a bad too. People want to do exercise but if it causes baldness, there should be a concern.

Rumours about Hair Loss: Somewhere we always do hear that doing excessive gym can cause the hair loss. But its not a rumour any more now because there is a proven science for it. As we know after excessive exercise our body gets stressed out. As a result there is increased level of testosterone in our body which causes Diffuse Hair Loss

Exercise , Diet & Hair Loss:Exercise does not directly cause the hair loss but there are certain factors around it to cause hair loss. Diet is very essential for our hairs so a heathy and nutritious diet should be in your daily routine to have healthy hairs. So, always take a balanced diet which include all kind of foods because protein alone is not enough.

Now, the second important thing is water which needs to be present for cellular function in our body. Water is as important for hair as other nutrients. 90% function of our body depends on water.

People always think that protein is the very important for hair  that's why they take mostly protein diet but you should keep in mind , excess of protein is not good neither for our body nor for our hairs. High protein level can cause harm to our hair follicles.

Generally when we do gym and all, we have to exercise excess and then we feel starve feeling in body and then we have to take a customised diet for our body. In this customised diet something essential nutrients we miss and it causes hair loss problem. And there are many things that we have to restrict in our diet, which is really needed for our hairs.

Hair follicles pass through a hair cycle, which needs proper nutrition. Hair follicles pass through 3 stages during hair cycle like growth phase, transition phase & falling phase so due to lack of nutrition this cycle may miss out the transition phase and as result hairs directly goes to falling phase leading to Diffuse Hair Loss

Exercising is always great for your body but over exertion of your body with exercise and avoiding those things which our hairs need, can cause hair loss for us. Because now a days doing gym & exercise is becoming a trend. I don't know how many people are seriously start this or not but as per my experience mostly people fail to continue. And those who do continue, never think how we should start it.

Should we avoid weightlifting not to have Hair Loss?

How could it happen, a trainer does not allow for weightlifting or person himself does not allow for weightlifting because of hair loss. Is there any connection? Yes, but it does not mean that every one has face hair loss if he or she practices weightlifting.

One thing we know better that testosterone is only hormone that needed for you body building so when we stretch out our body by weightlifting, level of testosterone increased, which may lead to hair loss.

Now in many men who are gym lovers & spend a lot of  their time in gym, the increased level of testosterone converts to DHT(Dihydrotestosterone) when they are susceptible and this DHT causes deminiaturisation of hair follicles resulting in thinner & thinner hairs and finally cause Androgenetic Alopecia

Gym Supplements & Hair Loss:

Working out naturally without supplementation will not cause balding or hair thinning. But those who take steroid in form of tablets & injections can have the serious side effects of steroid including hair loss and all. This is mostly practised by those who are not aware about true scenario of steroid and sometime also they are wrongly advise by trainers too. Some persons very quickly affected with Male Pattern Baldness if they are sensitive to steroids or its compound. And they never understands why it happens to me and even they may take stress for the same and develops anxiety disorder. So, here we can also say that hair loss is a serious concern depending upon the person.

Everyone who does gym and wants to to build-up their muscles they surely take some supplements. And most common supplements that every gym person does take is DHEA & creatinine. They increase the testosterone level. So, when your are predisposed to genetic of MALE PATTERN BALDNESS, testosterone converted to DHT and you will face the hair thinning which cause hair loss in a 'W' shape.

Working out- A  Stressful Task:

Stress itself  Is one of the reason for Hair Loss. Generally people when start working out, they have full on enthusiasm in themselves but there is feeling that I have to do, I have to do this daily. This feeling somewhat in some individual creates a stressful condition.

During stressful conditions some chemical release from our brain called neuropeptides and these neuropeptides which react to our own body cells and there is an Auto-Immune Reaction. This auto-immune reaction affects our hair and hair loss will be there. So, you can really understand how stress & hair are co-related. And it does not matter how does stress happen to you. Stress is something which is at mental plane but it can be from physical plane too like bodybuilding.

 Management & Treatment

As I always say, there are many modes of treatment available in our great country India for any kind of diseases. But people mostly prefer to take it from Old School Medicine(Allopathy) as their first choice and when some percentage of them do not get any satisfied results , they would take a move to other options available in medical field.

Yes, here we are talking about the world's 2nd largest practising system of medicine called Homoeopathy. But it does not mean that you should not take Old School of Medicine in your first choice because here I am just expressing the people's thought that I have been seeing in my day to day practice.
Homoeopathy has a great scope for treating the every kind of disease for last 200 years. And had been giving the wonderful satisfied results so this kind of hair loss can be also be treated & managed very well in Homoeopathy. And yes, it does not mean that you would get hairs back in your area of scalp from where it has gone due to deminiaturisation of follicles but this  is reversible in case of Diffuse Hair Loss.

Medically there are many treatments available in market as of now with different names as per the different company establishments but motive of  all those treatments available in the medical field is give you hair back. So, before opting any kind of treatment you should consult the Trichologist first.

We can manage the balding problem for making it slow progress:-

When you notice that thinning of hairs started and this is at the early stage, you can do multiple things to make it slow .

1) Hair Care: There are several such times where we don't care about our hairs and leave in that condition so it does hamper our hair texture. But if we do proper caring of our hairs, it will retain. For the same you can use certain products also but make sure thore with less chemicals. Frequent & unnecessary washing of hairs with different chemicals can also harm our hairs & it does remove the natural moisture of hairs.

2) Healthy & Nutritious Diet: Like our body, hairs also need a healthy & nutritious diet for better growth. Diet is such an important thing which we can't take lightly because its very essential for our hairs. Above & below the normal is always harmful for us. Some people take excess protein in their diet having thought that it will good for hair & body but actually it will not so we should take a balanced always. Yes, we know protein is needed for hair growth but it does not mean its the only thing that hair requires. There are several other nutrients hair also needs like minerals, vitamins, fats etc.

3) Manage Stress: Stress is something that we never end it so we should always make at certain level so it will not overcome to us. And how we should manage it , will be explained in this article Stress is one of the reason for Hair Loss

4) Avoid Supplements: First you need to stop consuming the supplements like creatinine which contain growth hormone to boosting muscle to stop hair loss. Steroids should never be your priority when you are doing the exercise because that will harm not your hairs but your others things too.

5) After Workout Shampoo: It has been found that when you work increased level of DHT after conversion from testosterone may remain for as long as 60 minutes. So, its very important to shampoo your hairs with anti-DHT shampoo after work out. This will somewhat remove the DHT effects.
